Double Mystery, or Two-fold Mystery teachings, refer to the deepest Daoist teachings on non-duality.  Rooted in the phrase “mystery upon mystery, the gateway to all wonders” from the first chapter of the Daodejing, it discusses the idea that the Dao transcends all ordinary categories (eg, being/non-being, existence/non-existence), concepts and language (First Mystery) AND even the idea/concept of transcendence must itself be transcended (Second Mystery).  Double mystery teachings help us along the path to seeing the true reality that transcendence and immanence cannot be separated.  Divine medicines can be a profound teacher and accelerant in this process.

As the dissolution of ego progresses, and one begins to see a more direct and non-dual reality, the perception of the oneness of all things can flower.  The famous understanding of “form is emptiness and emptiness” is form can become a lived reality.
