Deep Meditation and Dynamic Movement

DMTemple will focus on a few core aspects of Daoist meditation and dynamic movements.  Included in this are: Sitting in Oblivion aka Sitting and Forgetting (eg, zuo wang), taijiquan, qigong, forest bathing (eg, ADK nature hikes), and energy cultivation techniques, etc.

Deep Meditation

Daoist and non-dual meditation techniques focus on the creation of deep stillness of body and mind, the emptying of thoughts, and a deep surrender rooted in active awareness.  To acquire this level of stillness and quietude (and active awareness), preliminary techniques will be used to guide people to acquire the patience and mind control necessary for deeper stages.

Taiji and Qigong

Ross has been practicing numerous styles of martial arts since the age of 8 years old, acquiring his black belt at age 19 in Shaolin Kempo.  After his 4th degree in Kempo in his mid twenties, he moved his focus to the internal arts of taijiquan and qigong.  He has studied and practiced Yang and Chen style taiji, most influenced by Yu Cheng-Hsiang in Yang style, and Ren Guang Yi and Wang Fengming in Chen style.  His qigong focus has been influenced by Jeffrey Yuen, Kwan Sai-Hung, and Wang Fengming in Daoist Rejuvenation, Five Animal Frolics and Tai Ji Stick and Ruler qigong, along with Daoist energy cultivation.
